It is time to start celebrating the Holidays on the Windward side! One of my favorite things during the Holidays is to see all of the lights up, especially on palm trees.
So, this weekend is the big kick off of things to do! On Saturday, December 1, the Kane'ohe Christmas Parade will start at 9am and travel down Kamehameha Highway. If you are in search of gifts and crafts, the Lanikai Craft Fair will be held from 9-3 and the Kalama Beach Club Craft Fair from 10-4.
If you have a four-legged friend, and want to capture their Holiday spirit, photos will be taken from 10-2 on Dec. 1 & 2, and proceeds will benefit the Humane Society. “Pictures with Santa Paws” will not only feature photos, but also a pop up shop.
And, on Wednesday, Dec. 5, Castle Hospital will hold their annual tree lighting and concert. Festivities begin shortly after 6pm. The formal ceremony begins at 7, and Josh Tatofi will be performing after.
And, the following weekend, Waimanalo will host their parade on Saturday, December 8. In the past it has traveled southeast down Kalanianaole toward Waimanalo beach park. And, it is not Holiday related, but also don't forget about the Aloha Aina Recycling Drive on Dec. 8 at Kainalu Elementary.
There’s so much to do and celebrate!! What other community activities do you know about?
